Beijing, 9th December, 2016 (BISTU)--- Dr. Michael Tian-Shyug Lee, Vice President of Fu Jen Catholic University (FJU) is appointed Honorary Professor of BISTU on 9th December.
Vice President Xu Baojie extends warmest welcome to and holds talks with Dr. Michael Tian-Shyug Lee. Following the introduction to BISTU, Xu Baojie expresses that internationalization is one of the key goals of education in BISTU. And AACSB accreditation is a key step in internationalization of BISTU. It aims at enhancing international competence of students by internationally accredited education and diploma. As an expert and committee member of AACSB, Dr. Michael Tian-Shyug Lee will help greatly promote the work of AACSB accreditation at School of Economics and Management.
Dr. Michael Tian-Shyug Lee also offers and introduction to FJU and points out that educational features of FJU College of Management also cover innovation, entrepreneurship, information, and internationalization. And the feature of internationalization is most evident amongst all factors which help FJU be accredited by AACSB. He expresses that as an Honorary Professor of BISTU, he would love to contribution to AACSB accreditation work at the University. With the experiences of working and contacting with hundreds of deans in business colleges, Dr. Lee says he would spare no effort to help BISTU in the accreditation. Dr. Lee also explains his research in the area of big data and data digging, including the joint big data research with Stanford University on national economy and health management in Taiwan.
Human Resources Director Chen Xin introduces academic achievements of Dr. Lee and announces the decision of appointment of Dr. Lee as BISTU honorary professor. Vice President Xu Baojie presents the letter of appointment and university badge.
Dr. Michael Tian-Shyug Lee, Vice President of Fu Jen Catholic University (FJU) and professor of College of Business, has been Dean of Business College of FJU. He is an expert member of AACSB accreditation committee, mentor of AACSB, guest lecturer of AACSB greater China region, and the first Asian expert committee member of AACSB.
In addition to his job at FJU and AACSB, Dr. Lee also holds a number of other posts, like guest professor of New York State University Stony Brook, Ph.D. supervisor of University of South Australia, guest professor of a number of mainland universities including University of Science and Technology of China, Renmin University of China, Wuhan University, Sun Yet-Sen University, Xiamen University, etc.
The ceremony and discussion are also attended by Dr. Lu Jing, Director of International Cooperation Department, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs Office Jin Chunhua, Vice Dean of Postgraduate School Peng Shuhua, and Vice Dean of School of Economics and Management Qu Li.
